Land and Nature: A diverse cultural connection

11:45, Sunday 6th July
Here is Conversation

A fireside chat hosted beneath the canopy, this conversation invites us into the deep, cross-cultural relationships that exist between people, land, and nature. In a world where access to green space is still unequal, what does it mean for Global Majority communities to reclaim connection to land as a source of healing, memory, and belonging?

Nature writer, author of Radical Rest: Notes on Burnout, Healing and Hopeful Futures, and community organiser Evie Muir will share reflections on the life-giving force of nature, through her body of work with Peaks of Colour - a Peak District-based nature-for-healing grassroots community group, by and for communities of colour.

Through stories, conversation, and grounding practice, we’ll explore how land holds space for grief and joy, resistance and rest, and why reconnecting to nature is essential for justice, wellness, and collective care.
