Access
Homestead Park Festival is for everybody and every effort has been put into making the event as accessible as possible.
Further details are below but feel free to contact access@wildrumpus.co.uk with any specific questions.
Getting Here
Parking onsite will be limited to accessible parking only and will be for people with mobility requirements and blue badge holders. If you have a blue badge just show it to the parking steward on the Shipton Road entrance to the Park. If you think you need parking and don't have a blue badge please contact access@wildrumpus.co.uk
Our pedestrian entrances are on Water End, Shipton Road. The River Ouse path will be open for pedestrian and cyclists. We encourage people to arrive on foot, cycle or use public transport if possible.
The Ouse Lea is the closest bus stop, approximately 200m from the entrance. Buses 30, 30x, 31x, 74, 80, 825, 875, m31, and the 2A Park and ride all stop here. All buses are wheelchair accessible - see eastyorkshirebuses.co.uk for more details.
Onsite
There is step free access across the site. The ground is a mixture of hardstanding paths, gravel and grass lawns. Although mostly level access, there are some sloped areas that some wheelchair users may find more difficult to navigate. In the event of wet weather some areas may become slippy or muddy which may impact wheelchair accessibility. Trackway will be placed across some grassed areas to improve access.
The Homestead Park Glasshouses will have temporary modifications for the festival to make them as accessible as possible. Check back a few days before the festival to see a video walk through of each area.
Toilets
Homestead Park has an accessible toilet beside its main toilet block in the park.
There will also be additional toilets in the car park which will include a Mobiloo for access customers.
A Mobiloo is a mobile accessible toilet with an adult-sized changing bench, a hoist and a friendly attendant. More information about Mobiloos can be found at www.mobiloo.org.uk
Seating
Homestead Park has some outdoor seating options available. You are welcome to bring your own chairs onsite throughout the festival.
