Homestead Park Festival takes place at Homestead Park in York.

The park is close to the centre of York, about 25 minutes walk (1.5 miles/2km) from the city centre, and about 20 minutes walk (1 mile/1.5km) from the train station.

The festival address is Homestead Park, Clifton, York YO30 6WP.

There is no public parking (except for blue badge holders) so come along on foot, cycle or use public transport.

Travelling on foot

The entrances on Water End, Shipton Road and River Ouse path will be open for pedestrians.

The Clifton Ings gate will be open for this special event, which allows for a lovely 15 minute cycle along the river from Millenium Bridge or a short cycle from the Rawcliffe Park & Ride.

If travelling via bike you can arrive via any of the three entrances but please do dismount safely upon arrival.  

There will be a small capacity of cycle parking at the Shipton Road and Water End entrances. There will also be additional spaces along the metal fencing here

Please ensure that if you follow the this guidance: 

  • Make sure your bike is left in an appropriate designated location and not to any gates or entrances which will obstruct people and be a safety issue, as they could then be removed.  

  • Remember where your bike was left and ensure it is securely locked.  

  • Please dismount when you arrive onsite for public safety as bikes should not be ridden within the park.

Free shuttle bus

We're running a free shuttle bus between Memorial Gardens (Leeman Road) and the Homestead Park Festival on:

Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th July from 9.45am to 6pm

There’s no need to pre-book – just turn up and hop on! The bus will run regularly throughout the day, but please be aware that at busy times you may need to wait for the next available bus.

Travelling by Park & Ride

There are Park and Ride services around York that stop in York City Centre.

Rawcliffe Bar Park and Ride (YO30 5XZ) stops along Shipton Road and on Clifton Green, which are both 5-10 minute walks to the nearest entrances. More information can be found on the Park and Ride website.

Travelling by car

The only parking available is for blue badge holders. If you think you need parking and don't have a blue badge please contact access@wildrumpus.org.uk.

If you need to drive we encourage you to use the Rawcliffe Bar Park and Ride. The bus from there stops close to Homestead Park on Shipton Road. 

Please respect our neighbours and avoid parking in the residential streets outside the park.
