Sanctuary of the Hopeful Sun sunset discussion - Weaving the threads towards York’s future

A warm, welcoming deep dive to gather the threads of the weekend’s activities from the Sanctuary of the Hopeful Sun. This closing session is your chance to slow down, bring a blanket, a cuppa, and all the bubbling ideas you’ve gathered across the weekend. Together, we’ll explore big questions around ownership, land, neighbourhoods, and what kind of city we want York to become. 

Inspired by all of the weekend’s workshops - from hands-on planting and food making, to crafting visions of thriving neighbourhoods, to imagining community-grown food systems, and rethinking how we live and own our land - this is where it all comes together. 

Co-facilitated by YorSpace, YoCo, and Threads in the Ground, we’ll make space for everyone to share reflections and visions, and build a network of conversations to bring it all together. Whether you’ve dropped in briefly, or been at the festival all weekend, you’re invited to dream with us, on the grass, in conversation, in community.
